It is with much sadness that I announce the passing of my dearest Mother, Doris Vallance on October 20, 2017 at River Heights Lodge. Doris is survived by her only daughter Sharon (Gordon) Gray, nephew Ralph (Gisele) Elam, niece Alice (Gordon) Murray and their families, Joe's nieces and nephews and families. Doris was predeceased by her husband Joseph of 58 years, her parents Harry and Alice Nicholas, sisters Edith (Slim) Elam and Jessie (Bert) Doherty. Brothers and sisters in law Fred (Vera) Vallance and their children Kingsley and Ilene, Kelsey (Jacquie) Vallance and Paggy (Harry) Luscombe. An informal Memorial Service will be held Thursday, November 2, 2017 from St. George's Anglican Church in Battleford, from 2-5 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Ladies Auxillary River Heights Lodge or to the Building Fund, Battleford's Humane Society.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Trevor Watts of Eternal Memories Funeral Service & Crematorium.
