Mrs. Pauline Kardash, formerly of Blaine Lake, Sk passed away on Friday, January 5, 2018 at the Wetaskiwin Long Term Care Centre in Wetaskiwin, Alberta. There will be a graveside service held in the summer of 2018 at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Saskatoon. Funeral arrangements for Mrs. Pauline Kardash have been entrusted to Trevor Watts of Eternal Memories Funeral Service & Crematorium in Blaine Lake, SK.

Pauline Kardash passed away peacefully in her sleep in the morning of January 5, 2018 at the age of 91. Pauline was born on May 3, 1926, the youngest of three children to Andrew and Annie Holoboff in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She grew up on a farm, outside of Wadena, Saskatchewan.

Pauline met and married Peter Kardash in 1945. They lived on a farm near Blaine Lake, Saskatchewan where their farm thrived from loving care and hard work. They had two children Donna and Sandra. Over the years Pauline enjoyed gardening, both flower and vegetable. She was a very good cook and often shared her recipes with others. Other talents that she had included knitting, crocheting, needlework, weaving and making dried flower crafts. Aside from this she had a special love for dogs and raised Pomeranians. In 1996 Pauline left her Saskatchewan roots and moved to Falun, Alberta to live with her daughter Sandra. Here she spent many happy hours until her health failed, causing her to move into the Wetaskiwin Hospital and Care Centre in 2013. Here her stay was made comfortable by her daughter and friends. She remained happy and loving to those around her until the end. She was predeceased by her daughter Donna, in April of 1976, her husband Peter in July of 1984, and by her sister Louise. She is survived and will be greatly missed by her daughter Sandra, her friends, as well as her brother Mike who resides in Kelowna. A memorial will be held at a later date at Woodlawn Cemetery in Saskatoon.
