Dorothy Grace Evenson (McBain)

On November 6, 2017 Dorothy Grace Evenson passed away peacefully at the age of 90. Dorothy was born on November 29, 1926 in Keys Manitoba.

Dorothy married Clifford Evenson January 26, 1945 in Nepawa Manitoba, they were married for 72 years.

She is survived by her husband Clifford Evenson, daughters Joan (Charlie), Betty (Bill), Debbie (Wayne), Tanis (Debra Faye) and her brother Bob.  Six grandchildren as well as great grandchildren and her many friends.

Dorothy was predeceased in death by her dad Alexander McBain and mom Clara McBain (Brooks), brother Gordon, 2 daughters Darlene (age 6-months) and Sharon (age 47).

Dorothy was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.  She loved the outdoors.  You would often find her out in the yard or in the garden.  She loved to help people.  If there was anything that needed to be done or help with, you would find her there. Dorothy always had a way of making everything better and taking care of things.  Many hours of knitting baby caps and sweaters to donate to the hospitals gave her great joy.  Dorothy traveled every Tuesday (55 miles) to go dancing at the senior’s center no matter what the weather.  She had a full life of traveling to many destinations, but mostly enjoyed talking to people, she never met a stranger.
