I'm sorry to hear about your mother, Sandra.
I'm almost certain we are related.
My Great Parents, Daniel and Ulita Kardash settled not far from Blaine Lake in 1910.
They had 9 children - Pete, John, Alex, Jacob, Steve, George, William, Katherine and Irene.
I'm thinking Pete may have been your father. If not, he was probably one of the brothers of my Grandmother Tina Kardash who married John Kardash her second cousin. Several Kardash families immigrated in the same time frame and all came from the same village of Boradyanka, near Kiev, in Russia at that time.
John and Tina had two children, Joseph (my dad) and Emma.
I stay in touch with numerous of my dad's cousins in San Diego, Calif., Atlanta, Georgia and in Edmonton.
I hope you get this message and are able to respond.

Sooooo sorry to hear of your Mom's unexpected passing. I had briefly encountered her when she first came to Alberta.; a friendly and cheerful individual! Ahhh ... THAT'S where you get your pleasant disposition from, Sandra! Sending our thoughts and condolences your way.
