Blake Caplette Obituary

It is with heavy hearts the family of Mr. Blake Caplette announce is passing on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at the age of 55 years.  A Service will be held at a later date and date and time will be announced.

Blake was an avid musician that was the “life of the party” at any get together. Everyone has a favourite Blake song, and he was always quick to pull them out. He learned to play when he was about 14 from his adopted older brother Ed. He was a fun-loving man with a humongous heart. He loved everyone he met unconditionally right from the start without expectations or judgement. He grew up in Saskatoon and moved to B.C. where he spent a lot of his adult life. He finally settled down in North Battleford.

Blake is survived by his mother, Clarisse Caplette; wife, Melissa Palmer; son, Noah Ali (Jolene); daughters: Paris and Rilea, the most precious granddaughter, Marceline; sisters: Trini Caplette (Aaron Stephens), Dawn Caplette (Blaine Wall); niece, Brianna Arthurs; nephew, Cody Wall, and several other family members that he adopted along the way. He loved every one of them. He was a great husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. You could always come to him about anything. Whether it was advice, or a laugh, he was there to accommodate.

Blake will be missed very much by everyone who knew him, especially his wife and kids.

The music will play on for him and we will remember him fondly when “THAT SONG” comes on.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Eternal Memories Funeral Service & Crematorium - Elle Dell Funeral Director.

Farewell My Friends

It was beautiful

As long as it lasted

The journey of my life.

I have no regrets

Whatsoever said

The pain I’ll leave behind.

Those dear hearts

Who love and care...

And the strings pulling

At the heart and soul...

The strong arms

That held me up

When my own strength

Let me down.

At the turning of my life

I came across

Good friends,

Friends who stood by me

Even when time raced me by.

Farewell, farewell My friends

I smile and

Bid you goodbye.

No, shed no tears

For I need them not

All I need is your smile.

If you feel sad

Do think of me

For that’s what I’ll like

When you live in the hearts

Of those you love

Remember then

You never die.

A Poem from Blake,

Oh Canada you’re long and wide,

With oceans landing on 3 sides.

Lest we forget the ebbing tides,

The cresty beaches and sandy vines.

Beginning with the native man

The first to live on sacred land,

Then came the Vikings who were known to stand

On the rocky beaches on Newfoundland.

Before there was a safer demand.

Jack Cartier was in search or the prize,

In 1537 he tried to colonise,

Didn’t take him long to realise

That the Heron’s held a grudge of a greater size.

In 1756 started the 7 year war,

France and England were out to even the score,

Trying to work out some kind of rapport,

On which country would own more.

First one world war then another,

Forcing men and women to fight along with their brother.

Forging a great nation why do we bother

For a land we can live and love one another.

So when you look at the flag it’s red and it’s white,

Remember where we came from, it’s no easy plight.

For this land will not be forsaken for we are a land of might
