Fisher, Florence Darlene Linda
It is with profound sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and friend, Florence Darlene Fisher on January 23, 2025, at the age of 77 years old.
Darlene will be forever treasured by her surviving family: sisters, Lorna Collins, Rose Buck and brother, Edward Whitford. She leaves behind her loving children, Gord (Marie), Lorna (James), Pamela (Bill), Kathy (Vince) and Geraldine; as well as a very special niece whom she raised and loved as a daughter, Dorianne. Darlene was very interested and active in her grandchildren’s lives, Aaron, Robert, Kristen, Cody, Denise, Lisa, Megan, Raymond, Darlene, Jordan, Shane, Garry, Alex, Ashley, Vincent Jr., Katelynn, Leanne, Warren, Sky and Austin. Darlene is also survived by here estranged husband, Rick Fisher as well as numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, a host of adopted children and numerous treasured friends.
Darlene was predeceased by her parents: Edward Whitford and Maria Whitford, grandchild, Lee Bugler, great grandchild, Kaiden Poitras. As well, siblings which include 9 brothers with special closeness to Walter, Doug, and 6 sisters including; Alice, Margaret and Hilda, nephew, Merle Valley as well as her first husband, Charlie Delorme.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Garden Chapel 1332 100 Street, North Battleford, SK. In keeping with her wishes cremation will take place following the service and interment will take place at the Battleford Cemetery Thursday, January 30, 2025 where she will be laid to rest with her father.
The family suggests, that if desired, a donation can be made in Darlene’s memory to the Prairie Pooches Rescue, email and e-transfer PPR@prairiepoochesrescue.com due to special love for dogs.
