Edythe McLean Obituary

With saddened hearts, the family of Edythe McLean of North Battleford, regretfully announce the passing of their mother and grandmother on Thursday, July 11,2024 at the age of 87.

Edythe was born and raised at Cando, Saskatchewan. As a young woman, she moved to Wilkie, Saskatchewan, where she began a long career with Sasktel. It was there that she met

several women that became life long friends. This was also where she met her first husband, Gerd Michelman. They ultimately moved to Eastend, Saskatchewan and settled in to raise their

three children. An unfortunate accident resulted in Gerd’s death, so Edythe relocated to North Battleford to be closer to family. She continued her career with Sasktel and raised her family.

Later on, Edythe met and married Donald McLean. They spent many years enjoying travels, family and friends. Along the way, she was blessed with three wonderful grandchildren that

brought her a great deal of pride and joy. Her house was the gathering place for celebrations and holiday dinners. She loved having everyone home. She will be remembered as warm, kind,

thoughtful and loving.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Trent (Louise) Michelman, Mark (Nicole) Michelman, Lisa Lacoursiere; grandchildren: Lauren (Denis Koutsil) Michelman, Joey

Michelman, Jerri Michelman; sister in-laws: Helen Davies, Louise Snider; cousin: Bernice Leschinski; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Edythe was predeceased by husbands: Gerd Michelman (1968) and Donald McLean (2022); parents: Roy and Lillian Snider; sisters: Bernice Corrigan, Joyce Snider, Louise Hartman; brother: Norman Snider.

A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Jo Ann Hills officiating.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Eternal Memories Funeral Service & Crematorium - Tessa Bell Apprentice Funeral Director.
