Obituary
Mrs. Gertrude “Gertie” Ziegler passed away Thursday, August 17th, 2023 at the Maidstone
Health Complex at the age of 90 years. As per Gertie’s wishes no formal service will be held at
this time.
Left to cherish and honor her memory is her loving husband, Keith of 69 years; her daughter,
Wendi (Ed) Wandler; her son Herb (Roslyn Theissen) and Bruce Thompson. Grandchildren:
Krisy (Jack Mattila) Wandler, Cody (Carmen Koehl) Wandler - Chantel (Darwin) Kobelsky, Lynda
(Nick Rivard) Baillargeron - Courtney Ziegler, Keith Ziegler. Great grandchildren: Zack
Wandler, Oliver, Sam and Edie Mattila - Axel, Bowie and Ozzy Wandler - Nicholas, Elizabeth
and Benjamin Kobelsky - Élodie and Rafael Rivard.
Sisters: Agnes Greig, Isobel (Doug) Reich, Shirley Barlow and sister in law, Shirley Courtney.
Numerous nieces & nephews.
Gertie was predeceased by her daughter Cindy. Her parents Clifford & Isobel Courtney and
in-laws Milton & Esther Ziegler. Brothers; Jim, Rodney and Bill. Sister in law, Marg Courtney.
Brothers in law; Bob Barlow and Vern Greig
