Gloria Fidler

The family of Mrs. Gloria Fidler are saddened to announce her passing, on Monday, May 16, 2022, age of 83 years.

She leaves to mourn, her beloved husband, Melvin Fidler of 62 years; her five children: Doug Fidler, Zelly Fidler, Julie Olfert (Neil), Tracy Olfert (Alan) and Jon Fidler; her beloved grandchildren: Brian, Dallon(Leah) Jesse, Reanna, Jayden, Josh and Keely and numerous nephews, nieces, extended family and friends. She is also survived by her brothers: Harris Campbell (Cathy) Stuart Campbell (Debbie) and her brother, George Campbell who held a special place in her heart. She was predeceased by her Mom and Dad, infant brother, George, brother Bob & sisters Jeanine and Agnes.

She was born in Winnipeg, February 17, 1939 and grew up in Winnipeg Beach. That’s where she met Melvin, little did they know, their friendship would blossom into a true love story. Together they went on numerous adventures, including several fly fishing trips, tropical vacations and family roadtrips too numerous to mention. Melvin and Gloria worked side by side for several years in their carpet store and also started the first bulk food store in Selkrik, Manitoba. As busy as mom was, managing two businesses and five children, she was able to provide a hot meal every night for her family to enjoy. Her family was her everything. She was at every sporting event, if she wasn't coaching, she was in the stands cheering us on, she was our biggest cheerleader in life and the best mother anyone could have, she made everyone feel like they were her favourite. She was definitely ours.

Mom, it’s so hard to let you go, but we all know you’re in a better place, pain free, wrapped in the arms of Jesus. Watch over dad, and all of us. Until we all meet again.

We love you so very much.

Family has held a private gathering. A graveside service will be held at a later date.

Donations in her honour may be sent to the Kerrobert Long term care facility & any animal rescue of your choice.
