Honey Denise Sunshine Sakebow

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Miss. Honey Sakebow announce her passing on September 4, 2025 at the age of 12 years.

Honey is survived by her loving father, Gregory Sakebow; step-mothers: Billy-Joe Starr and Andrea Bear; maternal grandparents, Denise Katcheech and Adolphus Whitecap; paternal grandparents, Lorraine Moccasin and Floyd Thomas; brothers: Dre, Arthur, Anthony and Auston Katcheech-Whitecap, PJ, Tomias Sakebow, Aiden Moccasin, Drevin, Alex, Gregory Jr., Arion and Aayson Sakebow; sister, Annaleshia Sakebow; aunts: Tanya, Sharon, Natasha and Holly Katcheech, Lorinda and Cindi Thomas, Larissa, Giselle and Keisha Mountain; uncles: Delaney Katcheech-Whitecap, Julian Sakebow, Zachary Mountain, Julius Jr. Thomas; nieces: Malena, Aneisha; special cousins: Sadie Albert, Aaliyah Rabbitskin, El’laysia Thomas; special friends: Shaylee Katcheech, Phoenix Kakum-Night, Sharesse Thomas, Amori Spyglass and Sophie McIvor.

She was predeceased by her mother, Shelly Katcheech; auntie, Patricia Katcheech; and uncle, Jason Sakebow.

A wake service will begin Friday, September 5, 2025.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Saulteaux Band Hall.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that anyone wanting to cherish Honey bring stuffed animals to the service, which will be given to the family in memory of her.
