NEUFELD: Isaac - It is with deep sadness that the family of Isaac James Neufeld announces his passing on October 31, 2024. Isaac (Izzy Poo Poo) was born May 9th, 2007, in North Battleford. His short 17 years did not lack in experiences. His first love of sport was downhill skiing, beginning at age 1. By the time he was 4 he was helping his mom teach beginner ski lessons at Table
Mountain. Isaac was proud to be named to Freestyle Saskatchewan’s Canada Games team at the age of 11. He loved to compete and always strived to better himself. He also competed
at AB champs and Jr Nationals. His favorite discipline was slopestyle and big air since he loved flying through the air. He did compete in moguls as well even though it wasn’t his forte, he decided he liked it because of the two big jumps in the mogul course. Isaac enjoyed Crossfit and was a member at NB strength where the workouts werealways a challenge. In early years at school, he excelled in Track and Field, soccer, basketball, and volleyball. His love for football started with the Elks flag football program in grade 3. He started playing tackle football with the Bucks football program in grade 5. He was the backup QB in his first year and then the starting QB in grades 6 and 7, winning three championships in a row with his Buck’s teammates. He continued with football throughout high school as QB 1 from grade 10 to 12. He also competed provincially for Football Saskatchewan’s north team in grades 8 and 9. Baseball always took second place to
football, but he did love to pitch and in about grade 8 started throwing an 80 mph fastball. He only hit one homerun in his Beaver’s baseball time, but it was an out of the park grand slam at provincials. Basketball became his next love while at NBCHS. He spent many hours training in the gym honing his skills, and I can still hear him say, “Dad, can we go to the school to shoot hoops and play catch?” With his family Isaac had many memorable trips to Mexico, Cuba and Hawaii. We also spent a summer driving through California, another back packing through Europe and many trips to the mountains skiing and hiking, this is where he felt at home. He loved his friends, his teammates and his family. “Izzy, we just want one more conversation, one more hug, one
more chance to say I love you.” You are so missed and forever in our hearts. Mom, Dad, Sam, and Abbey. Isaac’s memory will forever be cherished by parents Stephen and Jana, big brother Sam, and big sister Abbey. Grandparents, Jean Friedenstab and Dave and Sue Neufeld. Uncle Michael (Sheila) Neufeld, Jesse (Olivia), Emily, Rachel, and Derek. Uncle Arnold (Vicky)Neufeld, Jake, and Sarah. Uncle Jeff (Leanne) Friedenstab, and Maddison. Predeceased by Grandpa John Friedenstab. Thank you to our friends, family, and community for the love, prayers, and support during this difficult time. Thank you to Trevor Watts (Eternal Memories). Thank you to the Living Sky School Division.
