IN LOVING MEMORY of Jean Ham August 14, 1929 – August 3, 2024.
Jean passed away peacefully on August 3, 2024, at the age of 94 and is survived by her loving son Jeff, sister Olga, brother Morris, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, all who loved her dearly.
She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Lionel (Bud); mother, Julia Lasiuk; father, Dimitri Lasiuk; step sister, Adeline; brothers: Eugene, Ted, Mike, Paul, Zonnie and John; step brother Walter.
Jean was born in Hafford, Saskatchewan in 1929 and graduated from Battleford High School in 1947. She worked as a stenographer at Saskatchewan Hospital, Household Finance and spent 35 years as a stenographer for the Dr. of Public Health at the North Battleford Health Region. After retiring from Public Health, she worked for numerous medical specialists in, or visiting North Battleford.
Jean and Bud enjoyed lake life in the summers and gatherings with friends and relatives all year round. She always enjoyed family, cooking, gardening and was involved with many community groups and organizations including Kinnettes, Jaycettes and the Anglican Church. She was a devoted parishioner of the Anglican Church and enjoyed volunteering at the church garage sales for many years.
Jean kept herself active after Bud passed with friends, family and many activities, including visiting her son Jeff in Vancouver numerous times.
In later years she enjoyed teas, seniors’ social gatherings, coffee and lunches with good friends and was an avid exercise enthusiast, often going to the Field House three times a week to work out and visit friends.
She volunteered her time generously with many other local organizations throughout the years.
