With sadness and a heavy heart, the family of Kerry Poletz announce his passing on July 25, 2026 at the age of 70 years.
Left to mourn his loss and cherish all that he was is his loving family; daughter, Suzanne Johnson (Evan), son, Trevor Poletz (Lisa) and daughter, Deanne Miller (Karl) as well as his 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Kerry is further survived and lovingly remembered by his partner Rose Tollefson and her children, Errin (Chris), Heather ( Nathan), Mary (Derek) and Megan; all of his brother and sisters and numerous brothers in law and sisters in law.
Kerry was predeceased by his wife, Diamond Poletz, daughter, Roxanne Koehler, mother, Evelyn Poletz and father, Sylvester Poletz.
Kerry has passed away, leaving behind a lifetime of stories, hard work and memories. He grew up on a farm North of Landis in a bustling family of eleven; where chores were always in steady supply.
Those early years helped shape the “can do” spirit he carried throughout his life. He spent many years as an auto wrecker, the kind of guy that could coax one more mile out of just about anything. If there was an engine to start or a trail to explore, Kerry was happy. He loved skidooing, quadding, camping and time outdoors. He never minded a little dirt, and if something broke, he figured it was just another excuse to get the tools out. He will be remembered for his resilience, his hardworking nature, his dry sense of humor, and his willingness to lend a hand. His legacy lives on in his children, grandchildren and in the stories that will continue to be shared, and probably get just a little better each time they’re told – which he likely would have enjoyed.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held on August 13, 2026 at 2:00 PM at The Garden Chapel 1332-100 Street, North Battleford, SK.
The family suggests that if desired, a donation can be made in Kerry’s memory to the
