Minard "Mike" Schmidt

It is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Mr. Minard “Mike” Schmidt on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at the age of 80 years.  A Come and Go will take place on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 from 1:00 -3:00 p.m. held at Eternal Memories Funeral Service & Crematorium – 2691 98th St North Battleford, SK. 

Mike is survived by his children and their families: son, Shawn (Kim) Aaron (Lena) – Braydon, Brianna, Abby; Matthew (Cigla) - Bella, Ethan, Jaxon; Chase; Morgan LeBlanc, Brianne LeBlanc; daughter, Wanda – Myles – Annalise; Deanna (Mackenzie) – Saria; Paula (Jeff) – Tanner - Teegan; Karlin (Kennedy) – Karson, Kolter, Kollyns; sister, Mary Mazurek; brother, John (Barb) Schmidt; sisters-in-law: Susan, Helga, Sandra; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his parents: Simon & Veronica (Wack) Schmidt; siblings: Betty (Tom) Robertson, Margaret, Valentine, Ann (Nix) St. Marie, George (Shirley), Joe, Rose (Clem) Moser, Ralph, Tony (Sally), Paul, Gus; brother-in-law: Horace Mazurek.
