Monique Whitehawk

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mrs. Monique Whitehawk on January 18, 2026 at the Battlefords Union Hospital with family by her side.

Left to cherish Monique’s memory is her loving husband, Joseph Whitehawk; her children: Ronald White, Donna (Brian) Whitehawk; brothers: Clarence (Delores) Durocher, Clement Durocher; sister, Evangeline (William) Caisse; grandchildren: Ty Whitehawk, Kayla (Jaron) Whitehawk, Patricia (Joey) Whitehawk, Logan White, Shaylyn White; great-grandchildren: Akira Whitehawk, Keigan Whitehawk, Talia Whitehawk, Annika Larose, Landon Larose, Kaylee Dressyman, Blaine Dressyman; special cousin, Lawrence Desjarlais and numerous more from Ile a la Crosse, Buffalo Narrows and area;special nieces: Doris Desjarlais, Courtney Durocher and numerous other nieces; special nephews: Robert Durocher, Derek Durocher, Tyson Durocher and numerous other nephews; special friends: Therese Gardiner, all the ladies from the Holy Family Club and many more.

She was predeceased by her parents: Auguste and Couroune Durocher; brothers: Fredrick Durocher, William Durocher, Jean Marie Durocher; sisters: Therese Durocher, Louise Durocher, Sarah Germain Daigneault and Yvonne Durocher.

A Wake Service will be held Wednesday, January 21, 2026 in Ile a la Crosse. 

As per Monique's wishes, she will return to North Battleford, where cremation will then take place. Monique will be laid to rest next to her parents in Ile a la Crosse at a later date.
