Our dear Dad spent his youth on the family farm in the Marlin District and for a brief time in the Village of Meota with his parents and siblings. After completing his education at the Marlin District School he continued to work the family farm. On October 21, 1948 he married the love of his life Eva (Deneiko) and they were blessed to have recently celebrated their 73rd Wedding Anniversary. Dad and Mom raised their family in the Village of Glaslyn. He continued to farm and operate a trucking business and worked as an arena operator during the winter season. Dad was an excellent vehicle driver with an outstanding driving record. As an active member of St. Peter and St. Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Glaslyn Dad  served as a Church Elder assisting the Priest during Services and ensuring the Church was well maintained. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed the love of his family, friends and spending time at the Turtle Lake family cottage. Dad was an curler in his younger years and continued his affection for the game. In 2017 Dad and Mom moved to the Ilarion Residence where they developed many friendships and Dad resided until his passing. The Family wishes to thank the Staff of Ilarion Residence Assisted Living  and Home Care Services for their dedication.
