In Loving Memory of Raymond “Ray” Laschilier
With love and sadness, we announce the passing of Raymond “Ray” Laschilier - affectionately known as “Big R” - on July 27, 2025, at the age of 78.
Ray was a farmer at heart, forever connected to the land that shaped him. Raised on his family’s farm, he carried that passion throughout his life, dedicating himself to supporting the farming community in and around North Battleford. Whether lending a hand during spring seeding or fall harvest, or pushing snow with his loader, he was always there when friends and neighbours needed him.
He found joy in life’s simple pleasures: driving the country roads with the windows down, admiring the fields and the work of the season, swapping stories at coffee row morning and afternoon, and catching up with neighbours.
Ray leaves behind his beloved wife, Darlene, of 54 years; his children, Michael, Tracy (Jeff), and Crystal (Todd); and his cherished granddaughters, Mackenzie and Meah.
A celebration of Ray’s life will be held with close family and friends. His legacy of kindness, hard work, and love for the land will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Eternal Memories Funeral Service & Crematorium - Tim Scaife Funeral Director.
