Rosanne Hollingshead

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rosanne Hollingshead of Maidstone, Saskatchewan. Rosanne passed away on April 20, 2020 at the Battleford Union Hospital with her loving husband by her side. Her beautiful smile will be dearly missed by all of those who were lucky enough to know her.

Rosanne grew up on a farm by St.Denis, Sk, she was so proud to be a farmers daughter.  She met the love of her life early on in life at the age of 19, her and Rob married and had three children. Rosanne and her family moved from Saskatoon to Sherwood Park and then made their final move to Maidstone, Sk. Rosanne was proud of many things in her life but her husband, children and grandchildren were without a doubt at the top of that list. Rosanne found a second family with the RCMP at the Maidstone detachment, she poured her heart and soul into everything she did there and was proud to be with her work family everyday. 

Rosanne poured her life into everything she did; often saying that if something is worth doing, it better be done right. She was happiest when surrounded by the ones she loved, whether that be a one-on-one for coffee or in a house full of family and friends. She had the unique ability to help everyone around her see their full potential, her tough love and quick wit let you know she cared. She worked tirelessly in every capacity of her life and was proud of her many titles. 

Rosanne, is survived by her loving family: her husband, Robert Hollingshead; three children, Mandy (Christiaan van der Walt), Dustin (Danielle) Hollingshead and Rebecca (Neil Wray) Hollingshead; six grandchildren, Andrew, Violet, Vera, Jude, Ezra and Owen; a special friend who she loved as her own son, Ryley (Nicole) Winterholt and family; her mother Lucienne Pelletier; siblings, Roger (Kathy) Pelletier, Celine (Mark) Hounjet, Anita (Garry) Bieber, Lionel (Brenda) Pelletier, Annette (Walter) Peterson, Norman (Nancy) Pelletier,  Donald (Lori) Pelletier, Joanne Hardy; mother-in-law Donna Hollingshead; brother-in-law Tim (Lynda) Hollingshead; sister-in-law Tracey (Grant) Moore and sister-in-law Patti Peters (Mike Skibinsky); many loving nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews. 

Rosanne was predeceased by: her father, Zenon Pelletier; father-in-law Ernest Hollingshead; sister-in-law Evelyn Pelletier and brother-in-law Tim Lunney.

The Celebration of Life in memory of Rosanne will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of Rosanne may be made to the Ronald McDonald House ~ 1011 University Drive, Saskatoon, SK S7N 0K4 or the Battleford Union Hospital Foundation(Palliative Care) ~ 1092 107th Street, North Battleford, SK  S9A 1Z1. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Trevor Watts of Eternal Memories Funeral Service & Crematorium.
